Missing Farmington Woman Found Dead

Laura Simonson, of Farmington, has been missing since last November and was recently identified as one of two bodies found in a suitcase in the Town of Geneva, WI. Prior to going missing, Simonson had contact with 52-year-old Steven M. Zelich of West Allis, who has been taken into custody Wednesday in connection with the death of the two victims found on June 5th. Her identity was confirmed by using dental records and tatoos. As of this time the second woman has not been identified. This investigation has been a joint effort by Minnesota and Wisconsin law enforcement, the Department of Criminal Investigations, and even the F.B.I. Farmington Dectective Sergeant, Lee Hollatz, has been investigating this case since Simonson was reported missing. Hollatz explains what the break in the case was.
