Relay For Life on August 1st

On Friday, August 1st, Relay for Life will take place in Hastings starting at 6pm at the High School. This event is to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. According to the Hastings event web page on Friday, July 25th, there are 16 teams, 154 participants signed up, and has raised $13,267.36 to help in the fight against cancer.
