Monica Jensen, representing the Dakota County Attorney’s office, tells KDWA “we respect the court’s decision and will begin planning needed to deal with this change”. The change of venue requested by defense team representing Brian Fitch received an order granting that change. Jury selection shall commence at the Stearns County Courthouse on January 12, 2015. Presuming a jury has been impaneled, the trial is expected to begin in St. Cloud on January 20th. Brian Fitch is accused of shooting and killing Mendota Heights Police Officer Scott Patrick back in July.
