Dakota County has increased property taxes for 2015. In a unanimous decision on Tuesday, the Dakota County Board of Commissioners voted to increase the County levy by 1 percent next year. The county levy has changed only 1% over the past five years compared to a 10.2 percent change in the Consumer Price Index. The increase is due in part to cost pressures from contract service providers, service demands and infrastructure investment.
