As you’ve been hearing on KDWA, former State Representative Jerry Dempsey passed away early Wednesday morning. Colleagues and friends have expressed their sadness at the passing of this Hastings luminary. We spoke with Principal Mark Zuzek, who remembers Dempsey and adds his respect for Dempsey’s many years in Hastings Schools.
We also heard from former Hastings Superintendent Ken Lacroy who mentioned the hard work and ability to getting important legislation passed that ultimately improved the quality of the schools throughout the state.
Hastings High School Assistant principal Bob Majeski remembers Jerry’s contribution to this district.
