After 34 total years of coaching, 31 as a Head Coach, and the last 21 years spent here in his hometown of Hastings, Raider Head Boys Hockey Coach Russ Welch announced his retirement to KDWA’s Nick Tuckner on Tuesday afternoon. Coach Welch guided teams from both South St. Paul and Hastings, to a combined NINE State Tournament appearances. From all of us at KDWA Radio, congratulations on a wonderful career, Coach Welch!!
