A driver has fled after striking another vehicle at a police stop. A Prescott Police traffic stop on southbound Highway 35 was disrupted on Saturday night when a car slowing for emergency vehicles was struck by another car. After his attempt to get around the struck car failed, the driver of the offending vehicle fled on foot into nearby woods. The fleeing suspect threatened pursuing officers with a knife. The suspects threatening behavior prompted Prescott Police to issue a Code Red Alert, requesting residents to lock their doors and report suspicious activity. Subsequent police investigation identified the suspect and revealed he was picked up by a third party and has fled the state of Wisconsin.
