Eagles Signal Spring’s Return

Local resident Harold Christenson has noticed a sure sign of Spring in the skies over the Mississippi River. In a communication with KDWA, Christenson observed a large increase in the number of eagles along the river and also on the ice at Lake Isabel. The national bird has been seen in greater numbers during the past few days of warmer weather and other species such as ducks, gulls and geese seem to be enjoying the benefits of the opening water.
