The recent District 200 School Board meeting covered a wide range of topics including the departure of 14 staff members due to resignation or retirement. Teachers from McAuliffe Elementary, JFK Elementary, Hastings Middle School and Tilden, as well as food service workers, custodians, student assistants and paraprofessionals will not return for the 2015-16 school year. Several of the teachers retiring had careers of service exceeding 30 years with Nancy Ahn, teacher at McAuliffe dedicating 42 years of teaching. Thanks go out to these educators who have made a difference in the lives of our students.
