Caturia Appointed to Heritage Preservation Commission

The Hastings City Council has appointed Gayle Caturia to the Heritage Preservation Commission for a three year term. The Heritage Preservation Commission interviewed Caturia at its July 21st meeting and voted unanimously to recommend her appointment by the council. Caturia has lived in the Hastings Historic District for 30 years and has restored several older homes with her husband. She also worked with Carroll Simmons at the LaDuc Mansion in the 1970s and learned much from him regarding authentic restorations.
