The Washington County Sheriff’s Department has added a new title to Sergeant Tim Harris’ responsibilities. Security Operations is now a focus due to a county task force formed in 2012. District 5 County Commissioner Lisa Weik announced the evolution that will make the safety of residents and employees a top concern when in county facilities. This infrastructure includes buildings, parks, transit facilities, communication towers and any other county facility owned or operated by Washington County. The new role is a collaboration with all the departments in response to a heightened awareness of the general public for increased security measures in these areas and the county is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for residents, employees and visitors.
