The Hastings City Council has accepted a donation from the Rivertown Lions Club of $830 to the Hastings Police Department to be used for bicycle safety initiatives. The Police Department will be participating in a number of youth outreach events in the upcoming year to include but not limited to collaboration with the parks department. This, in addition to regular bike patrols, will give the department an opportunity to connect with youth, recognize positive behavior, and distribute promotional materials.
