The Hastings City Council had adopted a resolution supporting Dakota County’s 2016-2020 Capital Improvement Program. The County has light transportation and roadway infrastructure workload within the city limits over the next several years, with the most significant item being their funding contribution to the Vermillion River Greenway Trail extension project, that will be paid out to the city as a reimbursement in early 2017. Other funding outlay in the County’s Capital Improvement Program for Hastings are focused on building related projects at the Government Center on Hwy 55 and General Sieben Drive and at the Pleasant Hill Library. Outside of the Vermillion Greenway Trail, none of the projects the County is contemplating involves City contributions or cost sharing.
