Some pretty scary totals in food collection have been announced by Hastings Family Service. In just 2 days, 7,733 lbs of food from only 4 events came through the doors at HFS. Thanks to: the Community Halloween Party for collecting 1,236 lbs of food, the NHS trick-or-treaters for collecting 6,001 lbs of food and $195. Also adding to the contribution were Rio Gran Dog Boarding which held their trick or treat event where 301 pounds of food was collected along with 205 dollars. The Hastings Hockey Association did their part and collected 195 lbs of food at their Squirt Jersey Unveiling. Hastings Family Service thanks these community contributors for helping fill the foodshelf as they enter a season which experiences great need.
