Missing Mother Found In River

In breaking news, a tragic end to the 5 day search for a missing young mother of 2 from Hager City Wisconsin. Just before 4pm the white van that family and friends had been looking for since early Saturday, was found submerged in the Mississippi River at the Trenton Island Boat Landing on the edge of the city. Marya Ann Christensen had been with friends in Red Wing late Friday evening, and decided to drive home, although the 23 year old had reportedly been drinking earlier. A massive search began when she did not return home and her boyfriend, and father to her 2 young boys, reported her missing. Members of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department used sonar to find the van and authorities were able to identify the body found in the vehicle as the missing woman. No cause of death was announced and authorities were reconstructing the scene into the evening on Wednesday.
