National Honor Society Walk

A brisk walk on Saturday morning completed a busy year of projects and volunteering by the National Honor Society in Hastings. Their Walk-A-Thon, which began at 8AM was their way of encircling the community with a 3 mile procession beginning and ending at the Hastings High School. Among their many contributions this year was the extraordinary accomplishment of raising $22,400 for Gillette Children’s Hospital in addition to the many large boxes of new toys taken to the St. Paul facility in April. The walk included 174 NHS members including 86 juniors and 88 seniors a variety of staff and support as well as at least one four legged mascot.
