Lewis Tops Republican Vote

Announced results of Tuesdays elections came fairly early in the evening. In the second congressional district race that sought to fill the vacancy for long time candidate John Kline, Republican Jason Lewis was declared the primary winner, besting John Howe, former mayor of Red Wing and Burnsville businesswoman Darlene Miller. Lewis is slated to face Democrat Angie Craig in the general election in November.
