The busses arrived in the rain Tuesday morning bringing children in grades 1-9 back to their schools in District 200. With the weather, those first time on the bus photos were taken quickly with lines of umbrellas covering backpacks and new tennis shoes. As most of the stops were pretty hectic, I decided to drop in to a place where lots of students and their families visit first . Emily’s Bakery was bustling Tuesday morning and That’s where I found Mom, Dad and Ivy, Autumn and Ava who made this stop a treat for the first day. I first asked Dad what the first day means for him
Ava was looking forward to 2nd grade.
A love of reading is just what Mom is counting on .
The students in Kindergarten and grades 10 11 and 12 will get back to class today.
