The very first bus on the street for the new Hastings Loop opened their doors at Augustana Park Ridge Apartments at 9am on Tuesday morning. I decided to ride along as Driver Teri set out on her one-hour route that travels to seventeen stops around town. The very first rider was Kim Larson who was waiting at the door ready for a new adventure. She uses a mobility scooter which loaded right onto the lift. I asked Larson what she had planned for this rainy day.
As we wound along the scheduled stops,a few boarded during the early morning first loop, but several ladies got on at the start of the 10 oclock loop looking forward to the ride.
The bus will make the Loop around Hastings again,next Tuesday . To pick up a schedule, stop by the Hastings Area Chamber, Tilden Community Center, Hastings City Hall or KDWA.
