Adopt A Family Continues

The Adopt-a-Family program for those needing a helping hand in the Hastings School District continues until December 17th. Those wishing to be a part of this giving tradition need to sign up with Hastings Family Service to become involved in this effort to help every family have holiday cheer to share with their children this year. Once registered, you will be able to see the number of persons in the family, the age and gender of each child and their wish list of gifts. Families range in size from one adult and one child to 2 adults and 10 children. Large families can be adopted by a group or a business, sharing the cost with several helpers. The list of families to adopt will be constantly updated, and more adopters are always needed. If you cannot afford to adopt a family, the program gratefully welcomes a gift or two, to help those extra families who may not sign up in time to be adopted. Families may ask that the gifts not be wrapped and all gifts should be packed together with the family number clearly marked in the same box or bag.
