October is Fire Prevention Month. on a recent In Depth program, John Townsend, a 17 year member of the Hastings Fire Department shared some of the training important to keep families safe.
Fire Safety Week will be October 8-14th with members of the department attending local schools to highlight the importance of family safety planning, replacement of smoke and carbon monoxide batteries, and other safety practices. Their annual open house will take place at 7 pm on October 10th.
