County May Reverse Cochran House Closure

An announcement made in early September may have a different outcome thanks to pending approval by the board of Dakota County Commissioners. In our October 26th In Depth conversation with the board chair, Mike Slavik, he broke the latest news regarding the closing of Hastings Cochran House a facility for transitioning adult men.

Slavik points to other efforts now underway in the county that could provide temporary and emergency shelter for homeless families is also gaining momentum thanks to partnerships that include faith-based resources and volunteers who coordinate resources for displaced persons and bring experience to the table that is hoping to address the growing need.
