An initiative that began just 2 school years ago, has meant a renewed focus for locally based United Way of Hastings. Executive Director Mari Mellick says in our In Depth conversation that will air on Tuesday, that a need that is nearly invisible on the surface, has grown over those two years and the Food 4 Kids weekend bags are going home with twice as many Hastings students than at this same time last year.
