Fatal Fire In Prescott

A fire that took place in Prescott on Friday afternoon, April 6th, has taken the life of a 76 year old resident, that according to the Prescott Police Department. The preliminary autopsy that was conducted on the owner of the home at 342 Young Street north, Gordon Herbert Weyh, indicate that probable carbon monoxide poisoning took place resulting in his death a day after the fire severly damaged the home. The investigation continues on the exact cause of the fire which police determined to be on the south east porch area. They do say that foul play is not suspected. More information will be available once all testing has been completed. Services for the victim are pending. Gordon was the son of former Prescott residents Leo and Charlotte Giebler.
