Getting out into the Spring air can be easily accomodated thanks to the return of the Zagster Bike Ride Share available under the bridge in Downtown Hastings. This is the 3rd year of the program provided by the Hastings United Way, Allina Healthcare and Regina Hospital which supplies 10 bikes for short term rental using a smart phone and an easy-to-access key pad interface attached to the bike.
By loading the Zagster.com app, a few simple directions lets you unlock the bike from the rack, and travel along several miles within the city and more by way of the Greenway Trail. Trips lasting under 2 hours are free with additional time just 3 dollars for each hour with a maximum of 24 for the day. A locking device is released using the code from the app and bikes comfortably fit adult sized riders. A text system is also available. Ten bikes are placed in the rack with a first come first served system in place for public access. Download the app found here. https://www.zagster.com/app?_branch_match_id=474216912230135438
