Personnel of the Hastings Fire and EMS Department were recently seen to be testing out and becoming familiar with brand new self contained breathing apparatus. Chief Mike Schutt provided information regarding the acquisition of the gear.
Schutt stated that the old gear owned by the department was obsolete by OSHA standards and replacement was required by regulations.
