On Saturday, October 26th, at approximately 2:11 am, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle crash on U. S. Highway 10 near 570th Avenue, in Oak Grove Township, near Prescott. According to a PCSO press release, 40-year-old Hastings resident Andrew Peters was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on Highway 10 near 570th Avenue when he swerved to miss striking a deer. Peters lost control of his vehicle and entered the north ditch, rolling over multiple times. Peters had to be extricated from the vehicle and was then airlifted with undetermined injuries to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul by LifeLink III Helicopter. The PCSO was assisted on scene by Prescott Fire Department, River Falls Ambulance Service, and LifeLink III Helicopter Service. This crash remains under investigation by the PCSO.
