In continuing efforts to involve the public in the renovation process, MnDOT has scheduled an open house for the Highway 316 Project on Thursday, November 7th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, with a short presentation at 5:45, in the Community Room of Hastings City Hall. MnDOT will provide an update on the potential right of way impacts and the design concept chosen for the 2021 Hwy 316 project. Visitors are welcome to ask questions of projects staff at any time during the open house. According to the MnDOT project website, the pavement on Hwy 316 from the junction at US 61 to just south of Tuttle Dr. has outlived its useful life, and MnDOT is studying other corridor improvements that could be made at the same time to help with safety and traffic flow for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
