PAFEA Plans For Future

At a meeting on November 7th, the Prescott Area Fire and EMS Association approved an EMS Service Contract between the association and River Falls EMS to provide services through the end of 2020. According to the meeting minutes, River Falls EMS director Jason Stroud discussed the current state of affairs, and the rising cost of providing service, contrasted against the decline in fees collected from service calls. The association approved the process of selecting a new provider starting in 2021, with a request for bids to be published on November 8th, and due on December 13th, of 2019. The association hopes to have a contract for 2021 in place by the end of January of 2020.
