United Way of Hastings has announced that, in collaboration with 360 Communities and Hastings High School staff, they are now providing weekend meal packs for students at Hastings High School. The weekend meal kits can be prepared by the student, contain vital calories, and are shelf-stable. UWH works hard to pack as much nutrition in the kits as possible, while meeting storage and cooking criteria. In a news release issued by United Way of Hastings, generous donations from the community enable UWH to provide packs to almost 160 students a week. Meals are available for the public elementary schools, Hastings Middle School, the Area Learning Center, and now the high school.
