On the election front in Hastings, KDWA has learned that Philip Biermaier, candidate for the Ward 2 seat currently held by Joe Balsanek, may be suspending his campaign. Ward 2 is the only ward that has more than one candidate running, with Council member Balsanek, and Spiral Brewery owner Jen Fox being the other two candidates.
