Ordinance Change In The Works

The Hastings City Council will be asked to consider a 1st Reading and schedule a public hearing of an amendment to City Code Chapter 155.01 to rezone 10.38 acres from A, Agriculture, and R-1, Single Family Residence, to R-3, Medium-High Density Residence-Planned Residential Development, as requested by Simek Property Group on property owned by Lawrence Property LLC located at the northwest corner of Northridge Drive and Pleasant Drive. Upon action by the Council the public hearing and 2nd Reading would be scheduled for the September 21, City Council meeting. The rezoning is submitted in conjunction with the Villas at Pleasant, a plan to construct 32 villa homes. Preliminary and Final Plat applications for Villas at Pleasant have been submitted and will be reviewed by the City Council along with final action on the rezoning. The request was placed on the Consent Agenda for the September 8th meeting of the Hastings City Council.
