March 29th will be the fourth observation of National Vietnam Veteran’s Day, and the Foss And Swanson Veteran Center is asking Hastings residents to take a moment of their day to remember and commemorate those who served in Vietnam. According to Dean Markuson, Director of the Center, it is estimated that up to 557 Vietnam veterans across the nation die each day, and outreach to these veterans is hampered by the COVID pandemic. Markuson asks that people thank and honor the vets, connect with hard-to reach vets, and assist with efforts to bring healing to those in need.
