Although heavy construction work for the Highway 316 project is still several weeks away, private utilities, such as CenterPoint Energy, Xcel Energy, Dakota Electric, Comcast, and CenturyLink are likely to have work occurring in the corridor starting sooner so that they are able to get a head start on relocating and adjusting their facilities before the major road work begins. These activities may present some minor impacts on traffic and localized lane restrictions. MnDOT plans to conduct a virtual public outreach session later in the month to inform the public about more details on construction schedule and traffic impacts, and the City will feature a link to that session as soon as it is available.
