A nationwide problem has found its way in to Hastings Adult Athletics, after seeing the same thing happen this past Fall and Winter at the High School levels, and that problem…is the lack of officials. Hastings Parks and Recreation is looking for officials in both Slow-Pitch Softball, and Sand Volleyball, with officials making $25 per game, which could amount to $100 per night of officiating four games. Sports and Recreation Coordinator Phil Vargas joined KDWA Sports on Monday, as the pressing need is hitting a fever pitch.
