Hastings Mayor Mary Fasbender, and State Representative Tony Jurgens were in attendance at an award ceremony at Hastings Bus Company on Wednesday, to honor all of the school bus drivers for their service to the children in the community during National Bus Driver Day. According to Terminal Manager Terry Johnson, it was a day for the drivers, and everyone received a nice hoodie sweatshirt. Rolls and donuts were provided by Hi Quality Bakery of Cannon Falls, and the staff enjoyed lunch. Other dignitaries in attendance were school Superintendent Dr. Robert McDowell, police officers, and other school staff.
