St. Mary’s Parish Volunteer Has COVID

Parochial Administrator Father Mike Tix, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Trier reports that a parish volunteer in attendance at Mass on Sunday January 30th has been confirmed to have COVID. According to Father Tix, the volunteer began experiencing symptoms of COVID on the 28th and tested positive on the 31st. The Archdiocese urges others in attendance that day to be on the watch for symptoms, and seek testing and treatment, where needed. Parishioners who are awaiting test results or not feeling well are asked to not attend mass, and that the Sunday obligation is dispensed in such cases. Offerings may still be made online.
