Sergeant Mike Vai of the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office was honored recently as the Narcotics Investigator of the Year for the entire State of Minnesota. According to a press release from the county, Sergeant Vai, who graduated from Eagan High School, Inver Hills Community College and Hamline University, is also a U.S. Army combat veteran who did three different combat tours, earning a Bronze Star for his service. Mike joined the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office in 2013.
