Hastings resident Angie Irene Haus has announced that she submitted her candidacy for one of the two at-large city council seats. Haus, 24, is a dental assistant at Smile Orthodontics in St. Paul and holds board positions with IDEA and Thrive in Hastings. A graduate of Hastings
High School and Century College, Haus points to her lifelong commitment to Hastings as a key driver for her campaign. According to a press release, Haus will focus her campaign on three issues: extending economic development citywide, deepening the city’s journey toward greater inclusivity, and bolstering tourism through enhanced initiatives within the city’s parks and recreation system.
