Pledge To Graduate Student Awarded

The Washington County Attorney’s Office has named East Ridge student Samuel Tran of Newport, as one of two “Pledge To Graduate” award winners for the 2021-2022 school year. According to a press release, the County Attorney’s office has made a significant effort to raise awareness of the importance of high school graduation, so, this past school year the office sponsored a drawing online whereby students could sign a Pledge to Graduate from high school. Late Washington County Attorney Pete Orput started this event in 2013 and has continued it each year. In recognition of accomplishing his pledge, Tran was presented with a new iPad, presented by the Washington County Attorney’s Office.
