The City of Hastings has announced that National Night out will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at Lions Park, 1043 5th Street West, in Hastings, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The Public Safety and Parks & Rec Commissions hosts a community National Night Out Neighborhood Gathering each year at Lions Park. Play on the playground, play lawn games, meet your local law enforcement, enjoy free dinner, and connect with someone new. If you don’t have a party in your neighborhood, join theirs. Everyone is welcome. The Hastings Police Department encourages neighborhoods across Hastings to organize your own National Night Out gathering. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
