The Hastings Police Department has announced that Sergeant Kyle Linscheid has been promoted to the position of Police Commander. Kyle started with the Hastings Police Department in August 2008 as a Police Officer and was promoted to Sergeant in August 2017. He received his Supervision and Management Certificate from the BCA and recently attended Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Kyle received his bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in 2007 and attended the Center for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement for his skills component at the end of 2007. Sgt. Linscheid will assume his new rank starting on July 4, replacing Commander Bryan Schowalter, who has been promoted to Deputy Chief of Police.
