Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena announced that Kyle Steven Williams, age 34, of Red Wing, has been indicted by a Dakota County Grand Jury of one count each of Murder in the First Degree (Domestic Abuse), Murder in the First Degree (Premeditated), and Murder in the Second Degree (With Intent/Not Premeditated), in connection with the death of 36-year-old Kelly Jo Marie Kocurek of Hastings on May 23, 2021. The facts and circumstances surrounding this incident are contained in the initial criminal complaint filed in August of 2021, charging Williams with Murder in the Second Degree. The charges in the indictment supersede the prior criminal complaint. Williams made his first court appearance on the indictment on Monday. His current bail is set at $2,000,000 with conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 4th at 1:30 PM, in Hastings.
