52 Project Announces Early Start

MN DOT has issued an update for the Highway 52 Project in the Hampton area, and has stated that upcoming lane closures along Hwy 52 near Hampton will be getting an earlier start than anticipated. According to MN DOT, if you are traveling on Hwy 52 in either direction between Hwy 55 and Hwy 50 near Rosemount and Hampton, you can expect delays as the road is reduced to a single lane in both directions. For the first few days you will still be traveling on your own side of Hwy 52, however, beginning Mon, May 1, all traffic will be shifted to the southbound side of Hwy 52 in a head-to-head pattern. These earlier than planned lane closures are necessary as crews restripe the road and set up barriers prior to the pending rain in the forecast. MN DOT Officials also state that temporary traffic signals have been placed at the intersection of Highway 55 and County Road 42 in Rosemount to help control traffic levels during the construction. Keep up with the project on the MN DOT Project page.
