Summer is well on its way, judging by the bumper crop of Spin Scooters that have sprouted in Hastings. Spin scooters deployed 100 scooters, for rent via the Spin app, around Hastings on April 17. Scooter operations are going to abide by various so-called “geofenced areas”, such as a “slow zone” at Levee Park and no sidewalk riding on 2nd Street. Operations will be carried out by internal Spin employees rather than independent contractor fleet managers.
