The Hastings American Legion Post 47 baseball team received a fire and police escort out of town Wednesday en route to Rochester, where the team will begin pool play Thursday with games against Wayzata and Duluth, and on Friday they will take on Sartell. The top two teams in each pool advance to Saturday and Sunday’s “Bracket Round” with the top teams advancing to regionals next week in Rapid City, South Dakota.
