ISD 200 is involved with AFS which provides international students the opportunity to spend a school year in the USA. The AFS Intercultural Program is still seeking host families for the 2023-2024 school year. Teacher Anne Mellesmoen, who advocates for AFS in the Hastings area, describes a couple of students hoping to attend school in America.
Mellesmoen also said that there is a support network for host families.
