The Dakota County Board is set to decide in mid-September whether to apply for a $10 million state grant to help fund construction of a homeless shelter in Dakota County. Authorized by the state legislature this past session, up to $10 million grants are available to local governments as part of a $98 million appropriation aimed at addressing homelessness across Minnesota.
