On Wednesday April 10, officials from Hastings and the Dakota County Special Operations Team responded to Vermillion Falls State Park for a report of a subject who fell along the bluff. Authorities arrived and after a short search were able to locate an injured subject along the north bank of the falls. The Dakota County Special Operations Team responded and conducted a rope rescue, and just after 12:30 the subject was rescued and transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
