Hastings Expected To Reach Major Flooding This Week

In an update on this week’s flooding, according to the National Weather Service, Hastings has eclipsed the minor flood stage of 15 feet on the Mississippi River, currently standing at 15.39 feet as of Monday morning. The river is expected to crest at 19.8 feet by Saturday, which is considered major flooding by more than a foot (18 feet and above is considered major flooding).
